The New Design SLAM009
We decided that we would follow suit with most of the strongest engines out on the market and we designed and manufactured the new bottom end from a solid piece of Alloy (billet)
A Billet Four bearing case engine with excellent crank stability utilising the New and improved Machined Alloy Crankcase. Engine mounts designed to be integrated with the engine and that will fit in all 5 inch rails thus minimising weight.
The Outcome
An economical, attractive engine with the crankshaft stability required sustaining high performance modifications and still adaptable to the wide variety of performance parts available on the market.
Design
Powder coated cylinders again for both a clean and attractive look and durability for salt water applications.
CNC aluminium carburettor manifold was chosen to add to the appearance and match the anodised engine plates and mounts and eliminate the old Zenoah problem of warping composite manifold.

Engine Specs

The SLAM009 uses a Walbro 257 carbAfter many hours of testing on our TRICK 350 DYNO the engine specifications have been chosen by our own engine builder, to give all round performance and torque for an easy starting and high performance engineurettor for its performance and user friendly characteristics it also now comes with Genuine Zenoah Crank Shaft, pin bearings, snap rings, needle rollers etc.
Modifications Included in the NEW SLAM009
Piston and port timing have been carried out and tested for many hours to ensure the best possible all round performance.
Our engine builder has 30 years experience with two stroke engines, and has Dyno tested and on water tested this engine to ensure its high quality and durability at one stage running this engine on the Dyno for 1.5 hours.
We at Hobby Depot P/L are proud of the outcome of the newly developed SLAM009 and are pleased to be able to offer his engine to the public once again.
The SLAM009 has been designed to be installed and raced out of the box with style and reliability. The end user may chose to go further with modifications but we feel that the power output is sufficient enough to win races and above all have many hours of pleasure with your Model boat.
